Die schwedische Rockband Mando Diao brachte im Januar ihr zweites Album "Hurricane Bar" heraus. Toazted fragte Bjorn und Gustaf in einem Hotel in Amsterdam über den Aufnahmeprozess, ihren Erfolg in Japan und die kommende Welttour.

"We knew from the start that we would become famous!"

Wir hatten ein Interview mit Mando Diao während ihres Besuches an Amsterdam im März 2004. Das Interview handelt von Japan, das erste Album und Krankheiten.

Toazted sprach mit den Herren von Mando Diao und in diesem Interview fragten wir sie was sie davon halten, dass die Presse ihre Musik als "Beatles jamming with Sex Pistols" abstempeln. Dieser populäre schwedische Akt hatte gerade einen enormen Hit aufgenommen der bekannt wurde durch eine niederländische Werbung.

"I don't mind being in a commercial because they've got nothing on us. If you got a song that's been bad just because it plays on a commercial then it's not a good song. If you got a good song then nothing can hurt it. You can put it in a Coca Cola commercial anytime you like and it wouldn't get bad."
