Robin Proper-Shappard ist bekannt als der ehemalige Sänger/Gitarrist der Band The God Machine. Kurz nach der Fertigstellung ihres zweiten Albums "One Last Laugh In A Place Of Dying" in 1994, starb Bassist Jimmy Fernandes an den Folgen eines Gehirntumors. Robin gab die Band auf und gründete Sophia. Im Januar 2004 brachte er sein drittes Album heraus. In diesem Interview erzählt er vom Album.

"I moved from San Diego to New York, and then to London. We didn't even bring out instruments with us. We got in England and got popular pretty soon."
